Dozens of Nuns, Other Catholics, Arrested Advocating for Immigrants

Religion News Service’s Jack Jenkins reports that dozens of nuns, priests, and lay people were arrested in the Capitol Rotunda for protesting the Trump administration’s efforts to rescind the DACA program. Jenkins writes, “A slate of faith groups have condemned Trump’s decision to phase out DACA, and many religious leaders—including more than 80 rabbis and other Jewish activists in January—have been arrested in recent months during demonstrations to support the immigrants.”
