Billy Graham Warned Against Embracing a President. His Son Has Gone the Other Way.

The New York Times’s Laurie Goodstein writes that the Rev. Franklin Graham, son of the late Billy Graham, has deviated from his father’s message to avoid politics by becoming one of President Trump’s most vocal evangelical supporters. Of Trump, Graham says, “In my lifetime, he has supported the Christian faith more than any president that I know.” In contrast, Billy Graham tried to avoid polarizing politics and advised pastors later in his life to eschew close associations with politicians.
