Khizr Khan Rose to Fame with His Emotional Pleas Against Trump. Now He’s Targeting the “Politics of Fear”

The Los Angeles Times’ Jaweed Kaleem reports that Khizr Khan is working to inspire young Muslims through motivational speaking. The Gold Star father, who became famous for speaking against Trump at the Democratic National Convention, has spoken to two dozen groups since the election ended. In a speech at the annual conference of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, Khan said to a crowd of students and activists, “Never feel afraid, never feel disheartened. Whenever in the life of decent people throughout the history of mankind, whenever there have been difficult times, there have been times when their values were tested. That is why we we are here, that is why I am here, that is why you are here.”
