Reports of Racist Graffiti, Hate Crimes Post-Election

CNN’s Holly Yan, Ralph Ellis, and Kristina Sgueglia report, “Fears of heightened bigotry and hate crimes have turned into reality for some Americans after Donald Trump’s presidential win. And the list of incidents keeps growing.” Since Election Day, the Southern Poverty Law Center has recorded more than 300 incidents of harassment or intimidation. In one display of anti-Semitism at SUNY Geneseo, someone spray painted a swastika next to the word “Trump” on a residence hall. In an interview with 60 Minutes on CBS, Trump told his supporters to “Stop it,” but many question if his pleas will be enough.
