The Smithsonian Now Has its First Religion Curator since the 1890s

The Washington Post’s Julie Zauzmer reports that the Smithsonian has hired its first curator of religion in more than a century. Peter Manseau, the new curator, said, “I would like visitors to feel that no matter what they believe or don’t believe, these stories of religion in the nation’s history are part of their history as Americans.” Manseau’s first exhibit is set to open in June at the National Museum of American History, and it will focus on religion in early America.
