Debbie Wasserman Schultz to Resign D.N.C. Post

In The New York Times, Jonathan Martin and Alan Rappeport report that Debbie Wasserman Schultz will step down from her position as Democratic National Committee chairwoman after the convention. A series of leaked emails seem to show D.N.C. officials conspiring to undermine Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaign. Martin and Rappeport write, “The messages showed members of the committee’s communications team musing about pushing the narrative that the Sanders campaign was inept and trying to raise questions publicly about whether he was an atheist.”
