At The Washington Post, Abigail Hauslohner profiles Sajid Tarar, the Muslim immigrant who delivered a benediction at the Republican National Convention last night. Tarar, the founder of American Muslims for Trump, considers himself part of the anti-political-establishment bloc that supports the Republican nominee. Hauslohner writes, “Tarar isn’t entirely alone. The Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim lobbyist group that has regularly accused Trump of encouraging ‘Islamophobia,’ said in March that it surveyed 2,000 Muslim voters, and that 11 percent said they supported Trump.”
