Trump Takes Aim at Clinton in Appeal to Evangelicals

USA Today’s David Jackson reports that Donald Trump’s spoke on June 10 to the religiously and socially conservative Faith & Freedom Coalition in Washington. Trump’s speech was brief and read from a teleprompter, a stark contrast to the unconstrained nature of his campaign rallies. Jackson writes, “In making his appeal to religious voters—a key bloc for any Republican candidate—Trump pledged to honor ‘the sanctity and dignity of life,’ promote ‘marriage and family,’ and defend Israel.”
