Building Social Justice in the Pacific Northwest

At Tablet, Bethlehem Shoals reports on Tivnu, “a Jewish gap-year program for students taking time between high school and college.” The organization brings young Jewish people together through community service projects in an attempt to help them learn more about social justice and their own Jewish identity. Shoals writes, “Tivnu is making a strong statement about the commitment of Jews to charitable causes and the strong, almost historic, ties that bind these two things.”
