Muslim Activists from Alabama See the Capitol’s Sights, But Not their Delegation

At The Washington Post, Abigail Hauslohner reports on the experience of Alabama Muslims who traveled to Washington, D.C. for a Muslim advocacy day at the Capitol. None of the states’ nine representatives agreed to meet with the advocates, and they were largely hurried out by staff members. “It would have been appreciated if the congressmen were actually there,” said Abdallah Belhadj, part of the Alabama group that visited the capitol.
