Bill to Make Bible Tennessee’s Official Book Heads to Governor

At The Tennessean, Joel Ebert reports, “Tennessee is poised to make history as the first state in the nation to recognize the Holy Bible as its official book.” The state Senate voted 19-8 in favor of the proposal, and the bill will now head to Governor Bill Haslam for approval. “This book has done more to bring us to where we are today than any other book in the history of mankind,” said Republican State Senator Kerry Roberts.
