Obama Urges Americans to Shun Fear and Accept Refugees at Easter Prayer Breakfast

At The Washington Post, Greg Jaffe reports, “President Obama called on Americans to respond to the recent terror attacks in Belgium and Pakistan with love rather than suspicion Wednesday at his last Easter prayer breakfast.” Although conservative politicians called for the surveillance of Muslims, Obama urged Americans to embrace those of all religious faiths. “If Easter means anything it is that you don’t have to be afraid,” Obama said. “We drown out darkness with light. We heal hatred with love. We hold on to hope.”
