Terrorism Has “Evolved into a New Phase” Since 9/11 Attacks, Obama Says

In light of recent terrorist attacks, President Obama addressed the nation from the Oval Office on Sunday, reports USA Today’s Gregory Korte. Obama stressed the importance of international collaboration in the war on terror, and emphasized that Americans will not give into fear. “Our success won’t depend on tough talk, or abandoning our values or giving into fear. That’s what groups like ISIL are hoping for. Instead, we will prevail by being strong and smart, resilient and relentless,” Obama said.
