Tim Kaine and Mike Pence Clash Sharply Over Their Running Mates
posted on October 7, 2016At The New York Times, Jonathan Martin and Patrick Healy report that Sen. Tim Kaine and Gov. Mike Pence sparred over abortion in Tuesday night’s debate. Pence said, “The very idea that a child that is almost born into the world could still have their life taken from them is just anathema to me.” Kaine fired back by insisting that faith should not dictate policy. Kaine said, “The very last thing the government should do is punish women who make reproductive choices.”
