While Jerry Falwell Jr. of Liberty University was full of praise for the Republican frontrunner before his speech to the evangelical college, Russell Moore, leader of the Southern Baptist Convention, swiftly condemned his divisive style of politics. “Trading in the gospel of Jesus Christ for political power is not liberty but slavery,” Moore wrote.
