Resolution On Contraceptive Coverage Getting Closer For Religious Employers

Tom Howell Jr. of The Washington Times reports, “Religiously devout employers who object to insuring contraceptives for their employees under President Obama’s new health care law are closer to resolving — either through compromise or through the courts — their long-standing fight with the Obama administration.” After a federal judge granted Hobby Lobby a temporary injunction from the birth control mandate, Georgetown University agreed to allow third-party administrators to provide birth control. “We have, in general, expected one of these cases to get to the Supreme Court,” says Louise Melling, deputy legal director for the ACLU. “The question now is just which one.”
