They write about the survivors and family members as they tell their stories of faith, forgiveness, anger, and grief. Rose Simmons rejects the notion that her father’s killer is beyond forgiveness. “I believe there’s a day that will come, if he has to spend the rest of his life in prison, where he will have an opportunity for repentance,” she says. “So that he can change other people’s lives. And what a great ending to this story that would be—for him to know beyond a shadow of a doubt the impact of what he did, and to know and see God himself.”
