Gospel singer, Graham confidant George Beverly Shea dies at 104
posted on April 18, 2013Dan Merica of CNN reports, “George Beverly Shea, a noted gospel singer and close confidant to evangelical leader Billy Graham, died Tuesday evening … He was 104.” Graham met Shea as a young man when he was first starting his ministry, and for 60 years they traveled and ministered together around the world. Graham commented, “He [Shea] was absolute fun to be with. Bev [Shea] was one of the most gracious and unassuming men I have known. He was always encouraging and supportive, a man of deep faith and strong commitment to Jesus Christ.”
