Evangelical Leaders Will Travel to Israel to Signal Their Support

At Religion News Service, Sarah Pulliam Bailey reports, “Several high-profile evangelical leaders will travel to Israel next week as a part of the ‘Christians in Solidarity with Israel’ trip put together by the National Religious Broadcasters in response to the most recent conflict in Gaza.” The excursion includes Richard Land, Tony Perkins, and Billy Graham’s daughter. The trip is meant to showcase American evangelicals’ commitment to Israel at a time when some younger evangelicals are becoming more sympathetic to Palestinian perspectives.
