After Edwina Rogers’ Ouster, Secular Community Regroups

At Religion News Service, Kimberly Winston reports on the aftermath of Edwina Rogers’ abrupt departure from her position as executive director of the Secular Coalition for America. Rogers was let go following an embezzlement scandal in which two SCA employees stole $78,000, Winston reports. Rogers’ exit has unfortunate timing: the SCA’s Lobby Day and Summit, a three-day event with Congress, begins on Thursday, June 12.
