Ben Carson Says No to a Muslim U.S. President
At The Atlantic, Matt Ford reports, “GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson told NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday that the United States should never elect a Muslim president.” Carson claimed that the tenants of Islam are inconsistent with the U.S. Constitution, and therefore, a Muslim would be unfit to lead the nation. Carson said, “I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation. I absolutely would not agree with that.”
