How Vandalism and Fear Ended Abortion in Northwest Montana

Montana Public Radio’s Corin Cates-Carney writes on the challenge Flathead Valley residents have faced in obtaining abortions, since the only provider in that area of northwest Montana, Susan Cahill, closed her clinic due to vandalism. Women in Flathead Valley who want abortions now have to travel 120 miles to the nearest clinic. Michelle Reimer, the executive director of Hope Pregnancy Ministries, which advocates for alternatives to abortion, condemned the attack on the clinic, saying, “There is not a place for it in a Christian organization.”
