POLITICO’s Tarini Parti reports that Ben Carson, a 2016 GOP presidential candidate, made almost $2 million in 2014 delivering speeches to Christian organizations, frequently charging them more than he charged groups with no religious ties. “Overall, Carson reported earning $4 million in speaking fees in 2014,” Parti writes, citing a POLITICO analysis of Carson’s financial disclosure forms. “Of his five most expensive speeches, four of them were for Christian entities.”
