North Carolina Prosecutors Seek Death Penalty in Killing of 3 Muslims

The Los Angeles Times’ David Zucchino reports that state prosecutors in the case involving Craig Stephen Hicks, who is accused of murdering three Muslim college students, are seeking the death penalty. Additionally, the Justice Department opened up an investigation into the case to determine if the three students were targeted because of their religious affiliation. Hicks is currently facing three counts of first-degree murder.
