Pope Delivers Blockbuster Day in the Middle East
John L. Allen of The Boston Globe writes, “If more proof were required that this pope has no off switch, day two of his three-day swing through the Middle East certainly delivered it.” Pope Francis ended his visit of significant sites in Bethlehem and Jerusalem with a public invitation to the Israeli and Palestinian presidents to the Vatican for a common prayer, saying “the men and women of these lands, and of the entire world, all of them, ask us to bring before God their fervent hopes for peace.”
