London Preacher Abu Hamza Found Guilty in U.S.

Abu Hamza al-Masri, an Egyptian imam extradited to the U.S. from England in 2012, was found guilty on Monday the 19th in a Manhattan civil court of 11 charges of terrorist acts, reports Al-Jazeera America. Abu Hamza was accused of providing support to outlawed groups, enabling the taking of hostages in Yemen, and spearheading the establishment of an Oregon training camp for Al-Qaeda. The trial centered on tapes and videos of his anti-Western statements, as well as the testimony of two women who had been held captive in Yemen. He faces life in prison and will be sentenced in September.
