CBS News reports on the kidnapping of over 200 Nigerian schoolgirls, who are reportedly being sold into marriage to their abductors. Halite Aliyu of the Borne-Yobe people’s forum said that latest reports indicate that the girls are being sold for 2,000 naira ($12) and being transported across the border, sometimes to Chad or Cameroon. “Life [in northeastern Nigeria] has become nasty, short and brutish. We are living in a state of anarchy,” Aliyu said.
