CPAC Gives Republicans a 2016 Preview

Alex Altman and Zeke Miller of TIME give a preview of this week’s speakers at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) after the end of the event’s first day. They write, “A deep roster of potential presidential contenders presented competing visions of the Republicans’ future while subtly jostling to position themselves as the right candidate to lead the party.” Among the presidential hopefuls that addressed the crowd were Sen. Ted Cruz, Rep. Paul Ryan, Gov. Bobby Jindal, Gov. Chris Christie, and Sen. Marco Rubio. Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, and Rand Paul are on today’s roster.
