Beth McMurtrie of The Chronicle for Higher Education discusses how Boston College’s attempt to construct an oral history of the Troubles in Northern Ireland fell victim to an international murder investigation. She writes, “The project itself is dead. No more books, no more revelations, no further insights into the minds of former paramilitary fighters. ‘It can never be used now,’ says Mr. Moloney. ‘It’s all done for nothing.'”
