Oklahoma’s Ban on Same-Sex Marriage Ruled Unconstitutional

At This Land Press, Holly Wall reports that an Oklahoma judge has ruled that the state’s ban on same-sex marriage is unconstitutional. However, the decision will not be implemented immediately, and the state is all but guaranteed to appeal. In his ruling, U.S. District Judge Terence wrote that the ban is “an arbitrary, irrational exclusion of just one class of Oklahoma citizens from a governmental benefit.”
