Faithful Filibuster: Christian Leaders Read Scripture, Exhort Congress to Care

Katherine Burgess of Religion News Service reports that several Protestant and Catholic leaders gathered outside the Capitol to read Scripture in a “faithful filibuster” before Wednesday’s Congressional session to remind politicians that the government shutdown is harming the poor and vulnerable.
