Like Colson, Metaxas is involved in the Manhattan Declaration and the Christian conference circuit, keeping Christians engaged in culture and politics. However, the comparisons only go so far. “Eric disarms people with three qualities: a quick mind, a vivid sense of humor and a genuine zeal about his faith,” Catholic Philadelphia Archbishop Charles Chaput said. “He knows how to move an audience and reach across denominational divides.”
