Coalition Of Religious Groups Signs Open Letter For Religious Liberty
Matthew Brown of Deseret News reports that a diverse group of more than 100 religious leaders and scholars signed an open letter to all Americans indicating they are united in the fight against the government’s birth control mandate. Acknowledging their differences, the letter states the mandate represents a clear breach of conscience and violation of religious freedom. “The (Health and Human Services) is coercive and puts the administration in the position of defining — or casting aside — religious doctrine. This should trouble every American.”
