Jury: Archdiocese Wrong To Fire Ohio Teacher Who Got Pregnant Via Artificial Insemination

Lisa Cornwell of the Associated Press reports, “A Catholic school teacher who was fired after she became pregnant through artificial insemination won her anti-discrimination lawsuit against an Ohio archdiocese Monday and was awarded more than $170,000.” The archdiocese had argued the artificial insemination violated her contract, which required her to comply with the teachings of the Catholic Church.
