Pope Francis Tells Bostonians to “Combat Evil with Good”

Daniel Burke of Religion News Service reports on the telegram the Vatican sent to Boston’s Cardinal Sean O’Malley, in which Pope Francis “expresses sympathy for the victims of the marathon bombings and urges Americans to ‘combat evil with good.’” Religious leaders of diverse faiths across the U.S. offered prayers and words of solace to grieving Bostonians.
