Chicago is Ground Zero in U.S. Muslim Renaissance

Monique Parsons at Religion News Service investigates the resurgence of Islam in Chicago. Young Muslim activists, led by Chicago’s Inner-City Muslim Action Network (IMAN), have built many new Muslim institutions throughout the city, as well as around the country. Eboo Patel, founder of Interfaith Youth Core, called the surge of young Muslim institutions, “the most important story in Islam in America right now.”
