U.N. Panel Says Israeli Settlement Policy Violates Law

In a report released on Thursday, the United Nation Human Rights Council found that Israel’s settlements violate the Geneva Conventions, reports Nick Cumming-Bruce of The New York Times. The Geneva Conventions prohibit a state from moving its population into an occupied territory. Cumming-Bruce writes that the report “found Palestinian rights to freedom of movement, equality, due process of law and access to education, water, housing and natural resources ‘are being violated consistently and on a daily basis.’”
