The Washington Post’s Sarah Pulliam Bailey reports that President Donald Trump’s inaugural speech on Friday had explicit mentions of the Bible and God, signaling a shift from his speeches on the campaign trail. Trump referenced Psalm 133 as he stated, “The Bible tells us how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.” Bailey writes, “Trump also defied convention by inviting six religious leaders (usually there have been two) to participate in the ceremony, either reading Scripture or offering prayers.”
