Chronicling Anti-Sikh Violence, and Now a Victim

At The New York Times, J. David Goodman writes about Dr. Prabhjot Singh, a Columbia University professor recently attacked in what police are calling a potential hate crime. As the assault began, Dr. Singh said, “I heard, ‘Terrorist, Osama, get him.’” Dr. Singh, whose jaw was fractured from the incident, had written about such attacks on Sikhs in the past. About Dr. Singh, Goodman writes that “he hoped to turn the attack into something positive and move away from ‘this feedback cycle of turban-beard-terrorist.’”
