Evangelical Leader Jerry Falwell Jr. Endorses Trump
Robert Costa and Jenna Johnson of The Washington Post report, “Liberty University president Jerry Falwell Jr., the son of the late televangelist, endorsed Donald Trump on Tuesday, giving the Republican front-runner the blessing of one of the evangelical community’s biggest names just days before the Iowa caucuses.” While Falwell’s endorsement had been expected, the move has begun to consolidate evangelical voters behind Trump. “In my opinion, Donald Trump lives a life of loving and helping others as Jesus taught in the great commandment,” Falwell said.
